I have five great baby skincare brands that you need to look into and I have to highlight my favorite first; Tubby Todd!
As a new mom, I remember being bombarded with what I should and shouldn't use on my baby. I tried so many different brands, from drugstore to high end and I can confidently say that Tubby Todd is at the top of my list of favorites!
Tubby Todd was created by a mom who was looking for solutions for her babies with sensitive skin. Tubby Todd has ingredients that are cleanly sourced, animal cruelty-free, and as clean as possible for your little ones. A full look into their ingredients can be found here.
I have been using Tubby Todd products since Connor had his first bath and continue to use them daily. Their products are incredibly gentle, clean, and above all effective in even the worst eczema or diaper rash flare-ups. Luckily Connor doesn’t get eczema often, but when he does get the occasional red patch or irritation I do rely on Tubby Todd. My favorite product of theirs is The All Over Ointment which is super thick and clears up eczema patches quickly (I use it on my hands during the winter and it works!)
Some of my other top favorites are their hair and body wash, everyday lotion, and mineral sunscreen. It's so incredibly hard to find products that you can trust using on your little ones, but I can assure you that Tubby Todd has been in my checkout cart more times than I can count. Pipette - Pipette’s formula is so pure and clean that I use their mineral sunscreen on me daily. Great for eczema flares, their eczema lotion is specifically one of the cleanest on the market. Free of fragrances and synthetics, extra gentle and hydrating for the driest sensitive skin.
Earth Mama - You may have seen their teas at Whole Foods, but Earth Mama makes a lot more than that. They are an herbal-based skincare company making healing nourishing ointments for both baby and mamas alike. I used their balms and creams for almost everything and just love that a little goes a very long way. And what’s nice is that they make products for every stage of pregnancy, postpartum, and baby.
Honest Company - It’s interesting when a celebrity like Jessica Alba branches off into skincare or makeup, will their products actually be successful or are they successful because of their name? And while I like them for their calming body washes and lotions, I love The Honest Company not only for their price point but for their ability to go beyond just skincare and into family care; i.e. detergents and supplements that are accessible everywhere (find them at Target.) At one point we used their newborn diapers which were super soft, and highly recommended and to this day we like their laundry detergent which is extra gentle and dye-free.
Think Baby - Best known for their superior mineral sunscreens, I can verify that they provide great coverage, especially for the summer months. Their sunscreen also comes in stick form which is great for self-sufficient toddlers, but also don’t ignore their bubble bath which is completely vegan.
