I am a big fan of these family bundles from top fast food chains. Here are some of the best take-out ideas for the family for that special night of the week:
Sweetgreen: Sweetgreen known for its salads and warm bowls has many locations across the country, but it’s a great family option if you or your family members are vegetarian, have allergies or dietary restrictions, or just simply like made-to-order fast and tasty food. I will say this is a very lunch-specific spot. They do have a Rewards Program so definitely tap into that if you are feeding multiple people.
Goop Kitchen: LA loves Goop as much as they love Erwhon. They’re clean, and fast, and the food is delicious. We ordered their large Superfina mushroom pizza the other night and I can’t stop talking about the crust to my friends. One pizza can easily feed a family of 3 for 2-3 meals.
Health Nut: The Kardashian’s favorite salad spot has now become part of pop culture and we finally tried their order which is the Chinese chicken salad and mango greentini. It comes in a huge oversized bowl and you can easily save half for later. Connor is 3 and yes, he enjoys this salad as much as Kim. It’s just a chicken salad, let’s be real. But for the portions, it’s a good buy in my opinion.
Mendocino Farms: Farm fresh bowls, salads, soups, and sandwiches. We order from them often and especially like that their kid’s menu is served with a kid’s beverage and sliced apples. North Italia: They now have locations all over the US. We as a family enjoy their takeout often. Their portions are good for the price and the kid’s menu, while simple are all under $11 each and are always consumed. Who doesn’t enjoy fresh pasta and pizza? If you happen to be dining in, on the weekends they have a great brunch menu as well.
Tocaya Organica: Fast, healthy, California-influenced Mexican bowls, tacos, salads, and burritos that are really satisfying. The kid’s menu is simple, clean, and not too complicated which is why Connor enjoys it. They have locations all over LA and now also in AZ.
Din Tai Fung: Known around the world for its soup dumplings, Din Tai Fung is a staple in LA, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and NYC. However now that they are on Goldbelly, you can eat them at home too! We’ve done take-out from them a bunch of times, and while it’s always best to eat soup dumplings piping hot fresh from the steamer, I have to say that they do hold up in a take-out box just be sure to be gentle unpacking. Not to mention, their noodle dishes can feed a family of 4 with no problem with leftovers for the next day.
Ike’s Love + Sandwiches: Ike’s is a San Francisco icon and a place that I know well. They are known for their crazy ingredients and combinations plus memorable witty sandwich names. Above all the size of their sandwiches are rather massive and can feed a whole family very easily. They are now in Los Angeles, AZ, Nevada, Utah, and CO.
Chicken Maison: This chain is local to the South Bay/ Beach Cities of Los Angeles but I have to mention them because their price point, food quality, and portions are always really satisfying. Modern Mediterranean food is healthy in nature, so I have no problem ordering from them often. The gyro plates, fresh hummus, and rotisserie chicken is something we all enjoy, including our 3-year-old.
In-N-Out Burger: Family Pack - includes burgers, fries, and drinks for a group. And as lifelong Californians we are and will always be loyal to In-N-Out, sorry Shake Shack.
Chipotle: Family Taco Kit - includes ingredients to make tacos at home for the family, with meat, toppings, and sides.
Panera Bread: Family Feast - offers a combination of sandwiches, salads, or soups with sides and drinks
