Home Decor: Faux Olive Trees for any Budget

RIP Groot. Groot was my first live fiddle leaf plant I purchased as an adult. I found him in LA’s Chinatown one morning at a plant store when Trace and I were moving into our apartment and he thrived for 4 long years until 2020 when Connor was born. At that point in time, I let things go including watering and wiping Groot’s leaves and he got a bad case of root rot. While fiddle leafs make great houseplants, I think olive trees make any home super elevated as they are a tad bit more dainty looking.

For those who can’t keep real plants alive or want to easily fill corners in your house without the upkeep, I’ve rounded up some gorgeous faux olive trees that would spruce up any home and for any budget.

Our 6’ olive tree is from Amazon and under $100. It fills our master corner perfectly and looks so real. It’s a really good dupe to the Nearly Natural trees. I’ll be writing a follow up to this one on “how to pot your faux tree” in the next week because it’s not as complicated as one may think. Until then!
